East River Road over Honeoye Creek Bridge Replacement

This project received the ABCD Western NY Chapter Bridge Design Award, Honorable Mention.

FRA was retained by Monroe County to complete this $1.1M, federally funded bridge replacement project. The project involved Phases I-VI of the NYSDOT design process and required significant community participation, including public information meetings. FRA evaluated highway geometrics, traffic volumes, and bridge condition through in-depth inspection. FRA also evaluated bridge hydraulics and staged construction alternatives, and prepared the necessary environmental evaluations and reports to supplement the Phase I-IV Design Report. Final design services for the bridge replacement were provided, including: substructure / superstructure design, approach roadway alignment and profile changes, maintenance and protection of traffic plans, scour countermeasures, and stream channel improvements.
